IP Traffic Spy accomplishes this by reading the raw TCP/IP packets that are processed by your network adapter and displaying them in a user-friendly fashion.

IP Traffic Spy shows a ton of data going back and forth so you'll want to find the pause button under Actions, or use the space bar. Numerous filters are also available so you can narrow down what traffic you're looking to monitor. Another tip is to use the right-click at any time to see all the available options and actions. Some of these options include clipboard, filters, details, select or deselect all.
