Image Lock PEA (Password Encrypting Archive) is a portable encryption tool that allows you to protect your photos, drawings, and documents with a password.
Image Lock PEA includes an integrated viewer, so the images are never stored unencrypted on the hard disk but are held only in the memory.
With Image Lock PEA, all your documents can be easily converted into image formats like PNG, BMP, GIF, or JPG. Image Lock PEA utilizes functions designed to derive the key from the password that can help protect against even well-financed attackers.
The authenticated encryption (EAX mode) ensures integrity and authenticity in addition to confidentiality for your docs. You can export the encrypted images unencrypted. Different images can be managed by one PEA and can be encrypted with different passwords if desired.
Image Lock PEA does require Java Runtime Environment 8 or higher to function.
For use with Linux or Mac, see the author's site for instructions.
