http-ping is a command line utility that can be used to probe a URL and then provide statistics.
http-ping provides the following details for each request, the HTTP return code (and its brief textual description), the number of bytes returned by the server (excluding headers),
the time that is taken to complete the request (i.e., round-trip time) and a summary of all the requests are presented upon completion.
This utility is essentially the ping command, but it can be used over HTTP/S instead of ICMP as well as the ability to be utilized in conjunction with a URL in place of an IP address or computer name. http-ping additionally supports IPv6 addresses.
