Hashing is an Open Source and portable app designed to calculate and compare hashes of multiple files.

The interface is straightforward to understand and use. Drag and drop files into the main window, and you're immediately presented with the MD5 and SHA1 values. From here, you can find identical, compare, save as JSON, clear, or look at further options.

While very simple to use and understand, the options complete Hashing. You can choose from six different colored themes and seven different hashes, including MD5, SHA1, SHA384, RIPEMD160, CRC32, SHA256, and SHA512. Finally, you can prefer lower casing, CRC32 to decimal, close to the tray icon, and enable high priority.

Comparing hashes of multiple files isn't necessarily rocket science, with numerous apps available to do just this. Still, Hashing does a wonderful job of this while offering advanced users plenty of options and features.

Occasionally, the download returns an error - Failed - Virus Detected. This is a false positive.
