Curious, I thought that was one of the main flameage topics of the whole product activation discussion... Our reference Pentium 4 system is running XP RC2 and we've just replaced the processor and motherboard. XP fired up without a problem, detected all the new bits and pieces and ran with no problems at all - nary a hint of demanding re registration with Microsoft. Source: The Inquirer
