Xtreme Resources today has on the review bench DDR memory by the now familiar company G.Skill. In the past 6 months they have made an enormous name for themselves in the overclocking community with their Samsung TCCD IC based modules, particularly being able to easily overclock beyond the 300Mhz barrier on AMD A64 based systems. Our Senior European hardware Reviewer Grace today has a look at their latest "value" offering, the G.Skill F1-4800DSU2-1GBFR DDR600 2T dual channel memory kit.
"Today I have a new package from G.Skill for testing, the F1-4800DSU2-1GBFR, which consists of two 512MB modules and is rated for 2.5/8/4/4 2T timings at 300 MHz (600 MHz DDR). This package is one of the most aggressively priced packages on the market right now, rivaling even the price/performance ratio of basic value RAM modules. Since it also features Samsung TCCD chips like the more expensive packages from G.Skill, let us see how it will fare while overclocking."
