GOG Galaxy aims to do what Steam does, only better. That remains to be seen, but while Steam does have more games, GOG does have games Steam does not. At the time of this review, they had over 2,200 games. Some gamers might prefer to have both.
Some of the many games you can find on GOG include The Witcher, Heroes of Might and Magic, Dragon Age, Crysis, Sim City, SWAT 4, Settlers, etc. The games are organized into the genre release date, popular, system, company, and price categories.
GOG Galaxy continues to evolve and features universal cloud saves, in-game overlay, bandwidth limiting, capturing screenshots, desktop notifications, and more.
You can chat with friends, roll back a game, configure auto-updates, and even play in offline mode. You can shut off achievements, and notifications and customize your client how you want it.
GOG Galaxy is easy to navigate and, in our opinion, a must-have client for gamers. The ability to customize the client how you want gives it an advantage over the competition.
