GNOME 48.rc released
Javier Jardón has announced the release candidate for GNOME 48, which features several updates, including at-spi2-core, d-spy, epiphany, evince, evolution-data-server, gi-docgen, gjs, glib, glycin, gnome-backgrounds, gnome-builder, gnome-calculator, gnome-calendar, gnome-connections, gnome-contacts, gnome-control-center, gnome-initial-setup, gnome-keyring, maps, gnome-online-accounts, gnome-remote-desktop, gnome-settings-daemon, gnome-shell, gtk, gvfs, libadwaita, libdex, libgit2-glib, libmediaart, libnotify, librsvg, libshumate, localsearch, loupe, mutter, nautilus, orca, tecla, and tinysparql.The most recent iteration of at-spi2-core 2.55.90 introduces support for keyboard shortcuts via the new org.freedesktop.a11y.KeyboardMonitor interface, enabling key grabs to function under Wayland with the latest version of mutter. D-spy 48.rc employs AdwAlertDialog and the + icon for establishing connections with new buses. Recent updates to the translation feature include enhancements for Adobe PDF open parameters, build, and libdocument. Evolution-Data-Server version 3.55.3, released on February 28, 2025, incorporates various bug fixes and enhancements, particularly regarding the use of GLib as a subproject, as well as corrections for out-of-order parameters in a marshaller generated by `gdbus-codegen`. The most recent release of GLib, version 2.83.5, dated 2025-02-28, features enhancements for its use as a subproject, corrections for out-of-order parameters in a marshaller, and resolutions for issues identified in the gutils-user-database test.
