A lot of these larger power supplies are packed with a ton of power and that generally means the actual size of the power supply is going to be a little larger. This can introduce fitment issues in some cases or even test benches. But that isn’t the case with the P1000GM from Gigabyte. This power supply weighs in at a mere 150x140x86mm. This makes this power supply compatible with a lot of smaller chassis. The power requirements of these new graphics card are pretty intense and will only require even more in the future. So if you want to give your system power requirements some future proofing, then you cant go wrong with investing in a power supply like this one. It may be overkill to have 1000W right now but that may be a minimum when the next series of graphics cards come out.
