Hardware Asylum checked out the Gigabyte G1 Sniper Z87 Motherboard A quote from the article:
Building a gaming rig isn't all that difficult. You start with a proper motherboard for your application then add a processor and video card and away you go. The problem with this approach is you may not get the best efficiency from your hardware without adding expansion cards or compensating with more expensive parts.

Admittedly as enthusiasts we often look for motherboards that offer the most expandability because we want to run multiple graphics cards, custom network controllers and the best audio card money can buy. These are the things that make a good gaming system and just happen to be available on the Gigabyte G1 Sniper Z87.

In this review we will be looking at the new G1 Sniper Z87 from Gigabyte. Now before you say it, this is not the G1 Sniper 5. The Sniper 5 is the 4-way motherboard with a watercooled VRM and lots of awesome. As you can imagine lots of awesome costs money and can sometimes be cost prohibitive to gamers on a budget. The Sniper Z87 is a new version of this motherboard designed for the mainstream gamer market using the same chipset and core features.
