GifCam provides a simple app that will allow you to make and save GIFs of virtually anything displayed on your screen.

GifCam works like a camera that stays on top of all windows so you can move it and resize it to record the desired area on your screen. While recording, if GifCam finds the previous frame is the same as the newly recorded one, it will automatically add a delay (milliseconds the frame stays on screen) instead of adding a new frame and increasing the GIF size.

GifCam's UI is very straightforward, with strategically placed buttons for fast and efficient deployment and use. There are some customizations available like modifying FPS, memory/hard disk use as well as window size preference. All GIFs created can be saved to a location of your choosing.

GifCam is a fun little graphics utility for those that like to have creative control over their GIFs.
