Shop around at any e-tailer or computer store and one name which probably does not come to mind first when it comes to gaming peripherals is Genius. Amongst the all Logitech, Cooler Master, and Razer products on the market, Genius is a brand that hasn't had much light in the mainstream consumer market. Ironically, Genius actually has a history that goes far beyond those of both Logitech and Razer.

Established in 1983, Genius is a sub-brand of KYE Systems, a company that focuses mainly on OEM products for partners such as HP, Asus, and Acer. Funnily enough, KYE Systems has manufactured Logitech peripherals in the past. Genius is KYE's independent brand, featuring products ranging from mice and keyboards, to graphic tablets and IP cameras.

Today, we will take a look at the Genius X-G510 gaming mouse. Like many other mice, the X-G510 features adjustable DPI, active profile switching, and programmable macros. Unique to this mouse is a soft-touch rubber finish and a vibrant blue "cracking" LED pattern on the surface.
