Just got word from Guru 3D that their GeForce FX 5500 review is out!
NVIDIA is 'replacing' well ... renewing some of their products as we speak, among the new products is the GeForce FX 5500 well new ... When I first asked NVIDIA about the 5500 they seemed utterly surprised and asked me why I was reviewing a 5500. tad weird. Hey it's a big market and NVIDIA sells more low- and mid-end products then high-end these days. So why not ? People want to know. So today dear friends we will be testing the all new and completely low-end product the GeForce FX 5500. This NV34 based graphics card is clocked at 270 MHz on the core and 400 MHz for it's DDR memory. Overclocking results where about NIHIL yet Guru3D.com takes it trough a nice set of benchmarks, among them Call of Duty, Unreal Tournament 2003, Halo, Splinter Cell and more
