While I was looking for a new graphic card, I stumbled over the seemingly nice Gainward Geforce 6800 "Golden Sample" cards (http://www.gainward.de/new/products/ultra_2000/comparison.html). I wanted to have some more information about them so I visited Gainwards european website (http://www.gainward.de/new/main.html) and guess what I found after searching just a few seconds in the forums?

It looks like a bunch of people received standard Nvidia reference cards instead of the highly praised "Golden Sample" versions. So there was no red PCB and no "Enhanced Fan Cooling" like on all the pictures and feature lists from Gainward, not to mention the higher clock rates.
