Free PC Audit is a free, portable system information tool that gathers information about your system including hardware, software, product keys, and processes.As soon as Free PC Audit, it takes a minute to collect your system information and displays it in three tabs; System, Software, and Processes.The System tab can identify hundreds of things; some split into sub-categories for neatness. For example, you can see your Windows product key, IP address, BIOS, motherboard, processor, memory, drives, accounts, hotfixes, start-up information, and so much more than we can list here. It identified all of our information flawlessly.The Software tab will also identify all installed software and provides the versions numbers, publisher, install date, size, and product keys. We are unable to see how well it finds product keys, but typically this information is pulled from the registry, so we expect it to be hit or miss.Last, but not least, we have the Process tab. As you might expect, it simply shows you all running processes. You can right-click and copy the information, but that's all. Of course, this is a system information tool.Free PC Audit has been on MajorGeeks since 2012. Our latest review in 2017 left us impressed. System Information Tools are numerous, and one like this can easily be overlooked. The information pulled is extensive and accurate. Being able to retrieve your product key is an additional feature that will make it worthwhile to many.
