I was just over at the Fraps website checking for updates and look what I found!
With regards to development I've been working hard over the past few months adding many new features for Fraps 2.0. It has taken a lot longer than I had hoped, but the end result is looking great. I'm still wrapping up development but can give you a sneak peek at what's new in Fraps 2.0:
Sound is now captured along with the video of games.
New Fraps codec allows for movie resolutions up to 1024x768.
Full gamma support so what you see on screen is what is saved to the movie.
Optimised disk routines, minimal stutter, and full support for frameskipping (no speedups/slowdowns in your videos).
New system requirements: Win2K or WinXP are required. A CPU with SSE is required (P3/P4/athlon).
I will post some hi-res video samples in the coming fortnight, and Fraps 2.0 will follow shortly thereafter!
