Once you open it is ready to go, it places a Change File Extension entry in the context menu. All you need to do is right-click on the item you wish to change and up pops the window to perform it. That's it - simplicity at its finest. The way its context menu integration works is by using the registry rather than installing an additional shell extension. This integration eliminates loading the system resources unnecessarily.

File Extension Changer .NET will work with read-only, hidden or system files and the UI is set up to be as easy to use as possible. It displays the selected file name and then the options to rename the file and change the extension. One drawback is that it only performs changes to one file per time but other than that it performed its function with no issues during our tests.
