Desktop Icon Settings allows you to show, hide, or change the icons for Computer, User's Files, Network, Recycle Bin, and Control Panel. Using our registry files, you can block access to the Desktop Icon Settings in Windows 7, 8, and 10.
You can open Desktop Icon Settings in Start > Settings > Personalization > Themes in Windows 10.
Download Enable or Disable Desktop Icon Settings and extract the two files.
Double-click Enable Changing Desktop Icons.reg or Enable Changing Desktop Icons.reg (Default) to Enable or Disable Desktop Icon Settings.
Click Yes when prompted by User Account Control.
Click Yes when prompted by Registry Editor.
Click OK when prompted by the Registry Editor.
