Discalot can compile an image, bootable or not if you already have your files in a folder.While there are numerous tools to make a bootable ISO, this one is a bit more complex and not suited for someone trying that for the first time. It's almost a backup tool as well as it can put anything you want into an image file. You can't create a bootable Windows, for example, if you haven't put the files in a folder. It would be handy, amongst other things, for backing up a copy of your Windows if it were on a hidden partition.Setting are numerous and split into sections. They are ISO 9660, Joliet, UDF, Boot, Optimize, Order, DVD, Messages, General, and Compile. Because of this, it might be worth going through all these possible settings before you compile your image.Choose the directory to compile from, label and IOS file name, and then compile it by going to the Compile tab and selecting Create Image.Discalot can be overwhelming for a novice but much appreciated by the geek.
