DataExplorer gathers data from connected devices and then displays it, allowing you to perform further analysis. The app is based on Java and also requires Microsoft .NET for use. You will be able to collect measurement data and have it presented graphically. It also is capable of calculating statistics on the collected. For instance, the current and voltage of charging devices, data measurable working with electric motors, or backchannel data transmitted from radio-controlled vehicles. The author notes that the implementation was based on Java using the free RXTXcomm library for serial communication and the Eclipse SWT library for the graphical user interface.
