With the DIR-890L, D-Link is targeting buyers who aren't satisfied with the next dull box with some antennae. That's precisely not what this one has become. You can see lots of things in it, from extraterrestrial spaceships to a beetle with a red shield. This at least gives your houseguests something to talk about. We certainly noticed this while testing this router. Everyone has an opinion about the looks of this router. In our opinion the looks of a router isn't a deciding factor wether or not to buy it, but not everyone has to think the same about that. If you value looks, those of the DIR-890L could be that deciding factor.
