Czkawka 5.1.0

Published by

Czkawka, which means "hiccup" in Polish, provides a simple application for eliminating unnecessary files from your computer.
It is a multi-functional app capable of finding duplicates, empty folders, similar images, etc.

Czkawka is written in Rust using memory-safe techniques coupled with its algorithms and multithreading capabilities, making it astonishingly fast. Your privacy is protected as it does not have access to the internet, nor does it collect user data or statistics.

Czkawka includes cache support, which enables faster subsequent scans. You can take advantage of its various tools, including finding duplicates based on the file name, size, or hash, locating empty folders, identifying the largest files in a given location, finding empty files, searching for temporary files, finding similar images and videos, locating music with the same artist or album, identifying invalid symbolic links, and listing files with harmful extensions.

You have the option to use its CLI frontend for automation or its GUI frontend that resembles FSlint and uses the GTK 4 framework.

A solid duplicate and file cleaner that is easy to use, as removing unused or duplicate files from your PC is a good practice to free up space, etc. We did not experience any hiccups during our testing...

The ZIP file (MajorGeeks download) contains both GUI and CLI versions.
