Gamespy has posted the first up-to-date preview of Condition Zero, a single-player enabled version of Counter-Strike that was recently handed over from Gearbox Software to Ritual Entertainment for final development. Condition Zero still uses the rather old Half-Life engine, but according to Gamespy massive tweaks still get yourself a good visible treatment. Here's a snippet: "One mission begins with you aboard a helicopter, along with a team of counter-terrorists. Your CO advises you of the situation: a Columbian drug czar's base of operation has been located in Bogotá, Columbia. However, the cartel was informed of this information leak and has taken four hostages into custody as a defense. You and your team must make your way into their compound, take down the cartel, rescue the hostages, and destroy all production activity." So, where Gearbox's version of Condition Zero played more like a multiplayer simulator, Ritual's version truly plays like a single-player game. Gamespy Condition Zero Preview
