ConvertAll 1.0.1
ConvertAll is another unit converter but with a twist; the units you convert don't need to make sense to anyone else.
The installation should be watched because there are a few options that you might not need. These include the usual items, including start menu shortcuts, but also has language translations, source code, and portable config files. Most of us won't want the source or languages, so these should be, but aren't, unchecked by default. The portable config file is the hard way to offer a portable version of the program. By selecting this option, you should be able to take the ConvertAll folder anywhere with you.
The author of ConverAll couldn't find a similar app that allowed you to make conversions that others didn't. For example, if you want to convert from inches per decade, from meter-pounds, or from cubic nautical miles, you can.
Usage might be a little more complicated due to the sheer number of possibilities. At the top, you can easily spot "From Unit" and "To Unit." Below that you can find all the units and unit types available. Usually, we like to count something like this to let you know how many there are, but there are so many we'll say there are at least two hundred.
Once you've entered a unit, other options become available, including Square, Cube, Multiply, Divide, Recent Unit, Filter List, and Clear Unit.
Some of the many units you might not find in other programs include boiled horsepower, wine bottle, calories, carat, gigabyte, hectare, lumen, and much more. Where ConvertAll shines is the ability to let you know when any two units are incompatible. That must have been an epic undertaking, and it paid off.
So, as you now know, if you're looking to convert what others consider unusual, ConvertAll is the answer.
