This tabbed console emulator will also provide solid emulation for ANSI escape codes for color, bypassing the capabilities of the standard Windows Console Host in order to provide 256 and 24-bit color in Windows.When first developed, the program was created as a companion to Far Manager in an effort to add features common with graphical file managers like thumbnails and tiles, drag and drop with other windows, true color interface, and more. But has since expanded to be more robust in its offerings and functionality.ConEmu contains a large range of customization options available, including custom color palettes for the standard 16 colors, hotkeys, transparency, and auto-hideable mode - similar to the way Quake originally displayed its developer console.ConEmu doesn't provide any shell replacement itself, but rather allows using numerous other shells instead. It does, however, provide a limited macro language, to control the hosted applications startup and makes life a bit easier for users that frequently use the command line.ConEmu Features: the ability to run other GUI in tabs.
