Colibri Browser requires entering your email on their website to get a download link so we're not off to a good start. Installation took a few minutes, longer than we expected. You are presented with a very light colored interface with white and light grays laid out explaining what the icons in Colibri do.

Loading MajorGeeks for the first time displayed it as our mobile version. Buttons appear as needed including forward, backward, bookmarks, and the tab view should you forget what all six icons do. Of course, there are no tabs, but you can open a new window.

There is a File menu with Settings, Private Window, Help, and more.

One interesting concern is that they say all services are free during the beta. We're not sure what services they plan to charge for, but they should keep in mind that every full-featured web browser out there is free. The email sent to us says that your Colibri Account enables essential services such as Lists, Links, Search, and more services in the future.

Colibri Browser confused us a little bit. Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox have tabs and fully featured interfaces while often outperforming Colibri in memory and processor usage. If you stripped tabs out to see more on screen, then we wonder why it loaded some mobile versions of websites?

Maybe we got out of bed on the wrong side this morning, but we didn't get it. We decided to give it a chance here and see what our readers think. We also are considering that it's in beta and a solid idea, so let's see how development goes.
