Code 39 is also known as the 3 of 9 Barcode, Code 3 of 9, and Barcode39.
The Code 39 specification defines 43 characters, consisting of uppercase letters (A through Z), numeric digits (0 through 9), and several special characters (-, ., $, /, +, %, and space). An additional character (denoted '*') is used for both start and stop delimiters. Each character is composed of nine elements: five bars and four spaces. Three of the nine elements in each character are wide (binary value 1), and six elements are narrow (binary value 0). The width ratio between narrow and wide is not critical and may be chosen between 1:2 and 1:3.
The Code 39 font is free for anyone, but font websites are horrible. We spent an hour downloading and testing dozens of fonts before finding one that worked with the correct name; no scams or tricks. One of the largest download websites had the font with an installer, 3 folders, and 39 files. IT'S A FONT! Other fonts didn't work. It's insanity.
We decided it was easier to do the work for you and provide a working, easy-to-use font.
