The PowerShot A480 from Canon was taken in two different ways with updates this year: the A490 and the A495. The PowerShot A490 is about $20 less expensive as its competition but it's only available in basic silver. It has a 5-point Face AiAF auto focus system instead of the A495's 9-point and it has neither a Face Self-Time nor Canon's Super Vivid and Poster Effect shooting modes. In other words, for that extra $20 the A495 could easily be a steal or at least a better buy.
