If you like old school arcade tunes, then this is the app for you. We played with this a little longer than needed much to the dismay of the neighbors. But it is addictive and quite nostalgic as you compile your score. It designed for beginners, but even more skilled developers may see the value in a simple option for producing music scores. Bosca Ceoil does, however, have a Help file that will walk you through the basics if needed. It supports a decent amount of preset scales and chords to pull from to help you along as well as a large ensemble of instruments available. The interface is simple and to the point featuring a scrolling set of measures that have clickables notes with the actual corresponding note value running up the left-hand side.

Bosca Ceoil was easy to get up to speed with, and within several minutes we had an annoyingly campy and retro soundtrack blaring from our speakers. It is a fun and easy-to-use option for the creation of music that will have you wanting to jump back to the 80s.
