Bing Wallpaper lets you explore the world with a new image every day.

The world of search is a complicated thing. Most of us use Google, even if it isn't what it used to be with lots of ads and frequently returning poor results; they simply are the king of search. Most of us avoid Bing but might try DuckDuckGo. Bing, like most competing search engines, just can't get a big piece of the search engine market.

Enter the Bing Wallpaper app, another reason to try the Bing search engine, because if there's anything Microsoft has done well over the years, they do provide some beautiful Desktop photos and themes. You can opt-out of using Bing as your home page or default search engine during installation. Because the app uses Bing Home Page and Search as the default, we marked the download Ad-Supported to give you the heads up.

After installation, the Bing Wallpaper leaves a system tray icon allowing you to change the wallpaper, go to Bing, get details about the current photo, or quit.

We've had reports that the desktop images won't span or show different images on multiple monitors, so those using dual monitors might be disappointed.

The only downside is there are only eight images, enough for a new image every day for a week or so. We could look at hundreds of these images and hope to see more, or maybe the option to choose and download more.

Bottom Line? You don't have to love Bing to enjoy the beautiful Bing Wallpapers. The pictures are stunning and in brilliant detail. Best of all, while you have the option, you don't have to default to the Bing Search and Home Page.
