An increasing number of customers are reporting that their computers have been exposed to viruses by running programs they downloaded from web sites claiming to offer hacks, item-duping programs, and non Diablo II related video files (movies). We have found that many of the programs these sites are distributing are actually designed to give hackers access to the Diablo II user?s Battle.net accounts and to other personal information stored on the user?s computer. Please exercise extreme caution when visiting Web sites that offer such programs for download.
As always, please report web sites that distribute hacks for any Blizzard game to hacks@blizzard.com.
