If you came of age in the late '80s, there's a good chance that Back to the Future Part II was a formative film that helped inform your idea of what society might look like in the not-too-distant future. BTTF creators Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis certainly weren't trying to predict the future as much as they were trying to build a world that worked with their story.
