Just spotted this bit of news at Nvnews.net:
Uttar over at GPU:RW posted some very interesting info about the upcoming high-end VPU's from both ATI and NVIDIA. The center of attention is the R420 which is said to have a 12x1 / 6x2 pipeline configuration while NV40 would still be an 8 pipeline architecture. Scary isn't it?
