That is a massive increase in speed and in a world where time is money and no one wants to wait for that transfer or game to load the extra cost for that speed is worth it. The drive makes use of the Phison PS5016-E16 PCI-Express 4.0 x4 controller, Toshiba BiCS4 96-layer 3D TLC NAND, and a DDR4 cache chip from SK Hynix.
