AOpen is taking an interesting approach to deal with computer emitted noises such as fan rotation or drive spin up noises. According to information revealed by the company SilentTek enabled motherboards will include certain circuitry that makes the use of fan-controlled cases obsolete, e.g. the famous Lian Li aluminum cases. SilentTek is a combination of hardware circuitry, BIOS settings and a Windows based software tool that gives you total control over items like fanspeeds, CD-ROM speeds and voltages. Using AOpen-tested presets your system is said to run at the lowest noise level possible.
