Some hours ago, we took a look at Intel's latest offering, the Core i9-10980XE, which is their flagship processor for the X299 platform, and now we are going to look at AMD's flagship processor, the 3970X. The CPU has 32 cores and 64-threads, and it's based on the new Zen 2 microarchitecture and TSMC's 7nm node, so AMD has really stepped up performance by a large margin on paper. The new CPU aims to get rid of AMD's disadvantage in single-core performance and also up their game in multi-core performance as Intel has no CPU with over 28-cores, so let's see how they do.
