The Inquirer has posted a new item saying that AMD cuts prices on a number of its microprocessors over the weekend, with its highest desktop CPU, the 3200+ costing $464. But its "desktop replacement" mobile CPUs are rather good value. For example, the 2800+M costs $185, with AMD taking advantage of the boom in the "value" end of the market. Intel has no price cuts scheduled for some months yet, as we sit waiting for the 3.40GHz Prescott to emerge.
