Alt-Tab-Macos 7.22.0 released

Published by

The recently released version 7.22.0 of AltTab enhances the macOS experience by introducing a window-switching capability reminiscent of the Windows "alt-tab" feature. Currently compatible with macOS versions ranging from 10.12 to 10.15, and tested on 11.x, AltTab allows users to switch between windows effortlessly, as well as perform functions like minimizing, closing, or maximizing windows, and easily hiding or quitting applications.

One of the standout features of AltTab is its customization options. Users can modify the app's appearance by displaying app badges and space numbers, and adjusting the size of icons, thumbnails, and titles. The application also allows for the creation of custom keyboard shortcuts, enabling a personalized user experience. Additionally, users can blacklist specific applications to prevent them from appearing in AltTab or triggering the switcher.

AltTab is designed with accessibility in mind, supporting features such as right-to-left language interfaces, VoiceOver, sticky keys, and options to reduce transparency. The app is available in multiple languages, including various European, Asian, and Middle Eastern languages, catering to a diverse user base.

In extending the features of AltTab, future updates could potentially include enhanced support for more macOS features such as Mission Control integration, improved performance on newer macOS versions, and even more extensive customization options, such as themes or animations for window transitions. Furthermore, incorporating user feedback could lead to additional functionalities that better meet the diverse needs of users across different workflows
