Absolute Drift is a fun free, portable car drifting game featuring one tutorial, three freestyle, and two track levels.Absolute Drift is portable, and you can configure the graphics and controller settings before you begin. The game was last updated as an early alpha, and it appears they stopped updating it. The game is called Drifting Distilled in the alpha, so it seems they weren't even sure what to call it yet. That's a shame because it's a lot of fun. Graphics are bland, and the music isn't the most exciting, but they have the physics down pat. You will see tips and tricks written on the wall. As you move through the game, you will find obstacles to avoid and some to drive underneath as well as objects that earn points as you get close. That's what we discovered just playing the first five minutes.You will start out with the tutorial track, and after you play it, you will find three freestyle levels, where the goal is to get the max points in 2 minutes and two track levels, where the goal is to get max points within three laps.Absolute Drift has a couple of hours worth of gameplay, and it packs a lot of fun in a free, portable package. It's a shame it wasn't updated. A scoring system, better graphics, multiplayer and some damage physics would have been worth the effort considering the well-done physics. Frankly, we're sorry this wasn't completed. We don't know if the author realizes just how good this alpha version was.
