just did a bit of looking around on my system: C:Documents and SettingsUSERNAMELocal SettingsApplication Data i found an .INI in there, containing a log of windows media player stuff - i deleted the .ini, played a file in media player, and the .ini was recreated. I guess if you're paranoid or something you can make a script to delete that file on startup/shutdown or something? just thought i'd post where the log file is

Again, the Big Bro is watching ya I think M$ knows everything about us. You never know how many trojan horses are built inside those crappy operating systems. An advice from a paranoic person. The less M$ programs you use, the better. I use Opera for web browsing (except for those sites that REQUIRE Internet Exploter), WinAmp for music playing and Zoom Player for media. Trillian instead of Messenger, and even Windows Commander instead of Windows Explorer. You can live with most of the built-in trojans included with Windows (whatever version).

Sorry but the file that refered to in the original artical is not the INI file that you deleted, the database file used can be found here: C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataMicrosoftMedia Indexwmplibrary_v_0_12.db The name of the file my differ from that fond on my PC but it is the wmplibrary*.db file that is to be erased. Upon restaring Media Player 8 a new blank file will be created. Just thought I'd post the real location before anyone feels smug after deleting the wrong one.

You moaning lamers, So what if M$ know what we are up to Im using A downloaded copy of XP Corp, and you know what? Good if M$ Know what im up to, they cant do anything about it. Theres nothing in the EULA that says they spy on you, If we were using Linux: 1) NO GAMES 2) SHIT APPS 3) LAME INTERNET (NETSCAPE) 4) NO FUN 5) "oh when is the new kernel out so i can use..." In short, yes M$ is very sly, but who really cares, We are all spyed on weather its our phones, bankaccounts, or whatever.. If your not doing anything wrong then dont worry. Microsoft rule!!!
