Why Does Windows Still Suck?

The answer to why "people" still use Windows is easy. "People" are stupidheads.

Yes, I had the same thought... its probably mostly whos actually using the computer. I've not had a single virus actually do any damage to any PC computer I've owned. If you download a file called "free-porn-and-lots-of-it.exe" and run it... blame yourself. With the exception for the Blaster virus, theres not been a lot of them that actually executed themselfs without user interaction. Oh yeah... I'd never, ever, use a computer made by a company that thought so little of me that they removed one mouse button to make it easier to use it. If I wanted that, I'd go to Toys'r'us and pick up a Sony "My first Computer". Thats garanteed to get no viruses too. :P

It's strange how someone can still be a complete beginner after 15 years of using a computer. Just for the record. I've never installed anything from windowsupdate.com, no patches or fixes or anything. I've never been running a firewall. Never have I had an antivirus app running. And never ever have I noticed even the slightest problem in these 4 years that I have been using WinXP Pro. I've downloaded NOD32 on some occassion just to prove the fact that I have no infections. What a waste of time. Having problems with the computer is up to the user.

This is what you get if you connect to the internet without an AV and a little bit of common sense. Windows Update anyone? How about turning on the XP firewall? Here are some basic steps for the novice: 1. Before connecting to the internet install AV and turn on the XP Firewall. 2. Windows Update, install all Updates especially SP2 Don't take some Mac user's advice

What sucks even more is W2S even posts crap like this. What happend to improving the site W2S ? Or do you just like to post crap to make it look like someone is actually doing something ?

Windows might have it's problems but so do Macs. I will never go the Mac route because of freedom... freedom to choose what hardware and software I put on my PC. On a Mac you don't have the freedom to build your machine out of anything you want, you have to use what Jobs wants you to use. I love my PC for this very reason.
