ofcourse he does not have have anything to worry about, i don't see airplanes crashing against building in Brazil or do you?, and that is why he can take the luxury of writting so many 'thanks' on one single letter, i just hope he dies or someone kills him, just like the thousands whom Sadam has murdered. :-p God bless Bush!

God Bless America, the UK and the normal cityzens in Irak, let's respect their religion.

Thank You for bringing freedom to Iraq. He has been told to disarm for sometime now, more than enough time to do so. Finally the people of Iraq can have Freedom.
janus
The beautiful irony is that if he were a citizen of Saddam's regime writing a letter to Saddam, he would be killed for criticizing the government. You are lucky you have the freedom to protest.

Irak=Iraq in spanish, don't be ridiculous and btw, God is male otherwise ppl wouldn't be calling him 'Father' and....yes, the US did kill some nazis communist back in the day and one thing is for certain, they all deserved.
Caminante
The rest of the world, dont want war, because, THEY DON'T HAVE PLAINS CRASHING INTO BUILDINGS!!!!, is that too hard to understand, who is the ignorant now, huh, huh?, This is concerning that ignorant statement that you made about two COMMUNIST countries, WHO'D DENOUNCE ALL THE ATROCITIES THAT COMMUNISM HAS DONE, huh, huh? Please go and die.
Caminante
what does not 'justify the actions of the Americans'?, i belive that there's still lots of ppl out there, including myself who love what is just and right, so if you enjoy seing other being oppress and murdered, there are those who wont stand for it...you can go now and DIE!

I can really appreciate some of the comments about no war and not killing others. I don't believe in war or killing anyone for any reason. But... I ask each one of you. What will you do after your country experiences 9/11? This is all about enough is enough. All of us can not live in fear, if we want to live in peace. Do you want to live under the shadow of a few evil men?

Actually the correct translation is 'Thou Shalt Not Murder (as in cold blooded murder)'. Try reading the rest of the 'Old Testament' and not taking a commandment out of context. "B) During the Iraq / Iran controversy the American government gave Iraq half its weapons of mass destruction." Actually that is a myth. Of all the countries that supplied weapons to Iraq, the USA was number 18 on the list. Russia and France were number 1 & 2 on the list. Shoot, Venezuela gave more weapons than we did. A war without the UN is not an illegal war, and, according to Resolution 1441, the UN gave permission to use force. A second resolution was a nicety but not a necessity. If the world can't work up the guts to take out a dictatorship that is threatening the peace of the world, then, by God, we will do it. Here's a quote from an Iraqi immigrant, "How will peace and justice be accomplished by leaving Saddam in power?" P.S. It was the 'Iran/Iraq War' not the 'Iran/Iraq Controversy'.

All The Rhetoric On Whether Or Not We Should Go To War Against Iraq Has Got My Insane Little Brain Spinning Like A Roulette Wheel. I Enjoy Reading Opinions From Both Sides But I Have Detected A Hint Of Confusion From Some Of You. As I Was Reading The Paper Recently, I Was Reminded Of The Best Advice Someone Ever Gave Me. He Told Me About The KISS Method (Keep It Simple, Stupid!) So, With This As A Theme, I'd Like To Apply This Theory For Those Who Don't Quite Get It. My Hope Is That We Can Simplify Things A Bit And Recognize A Few Important Facts. Here Are 10 Things To Consider When Voicing An Opinion On This Important Issue: 1) Between President Bush And Saddam Hussein ... Hussein Is The Bad Guy. 2) If You Have Faith In The United Nations To Do The Right Thing Keep This In Mind, They Have Libya Heading The Committee On Human Rights And Iraq Heading The Global Disarmament Committee. Do Your Own Math Here 3) If You Use Google Search And Type In "French Military Victories," Your Reply Will Be "Did You Mean French Military Defeats?" 4) If Your Only Anti-War Slogan Is "No War For Oil," Hire a pit bull lawyer and sue Your School District For Allowing You To Slip Through The Cracks And Robbing You Of The Education You Deserve. 5) Saddam And Bin Laden Will Not Seek United Nations Approval Before They Try To Kill Us. 6) Despite Common Belief, Martin Sheen Is Not The President. He Plays One On T.V. 7) Even If You Are Anti-War, You Are Still An "Infidel!" And Bin Laden Wants You Dead, Too. 8) If You Believe In A "Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy" But Not In The Danger That Hussein Poses, Quit Hanging Out With The Dell Computer Dude. 9) Even multi-culturalists who try to browbeat us into beliveing that all cultures are equally deserving of respect have trouble explaining the past 500 years of Islam. 10) Whether You Are For Military Action Or Against It, Our Young Men And Women Overseas Are Fighting For Us To Defend Our Right To Speak Out. We All Need To Support Them Without Reservation.

Mr. Thomsen and Mr. Mertin, first off... I respect your views on the Iraq situation. It's nice one has the freedom to express their feelings and not worry about "Religious/Political" police trying to stop you or being scared that you or your family won't be safe if a comment of opposition is stated. I, and I am using this in the singular term... I am not grouping my feelings as "American feelings" together because they are different at times... in the great country of America... we do have a choice and we do have a voice. But, I see the war as a much needed first step to rid the bullies of the World. Ones that see others opinions if not in line with theirs as enemies which are dealt with harshly... sometimes through torture and ultimately death. You ask what a "bully" is??? A person who is habitually cruel or overbearing, especially to smaller or weaker people. A hired ruffian; a thug. A pimp. v. bul·lied, bul·ly·ing, bul·lies v. tr. To treat in an overbearing or intimidating manner. See Synonyms at intimidate. To make (one's way) aggressively. v. intr. To behave like a bully. To force one's way aggressively or by intimidation: “They bully into line at the gas pump†(Martin Gottfried). Well, this is what Sadaam is to a "T." He is one that is aggressive. He has killed thousands of his own people by gassing them. He has told his military to shoot defectors. He has told his military to kill the families of the defectors loved ones. He has persued chemical and biological weapons... even tried to become a nuclear state... and not to use nuclear as a means for power and energy but for death and destruction. Why do you think he is doing this? Because he wants to kiss his countryman? Do you think he is "trying" to be a "good boy?" Do you think he is becoming a better person? No... the UN can't even sway him. Believe me, the UN has tried time and time again. They have allowed violations time and time again. The UN always comes back to the table stating... "Now, Saddam, you need to start playing nice... or...." We have allowed this for 12yrs. Do you understand? Has he changed? No... Has he destroyed the chemical and biological weapons? Well... he "says" he has but he can't show a shread of evidence showing that he's done this. Has he stopped making weapons of mass destruction? Hmmm, I don't know what you'd call persuing nuclear capabilities or"dirty bomb"making materials. But... wait... you don't want to forget that he has made drones specifically for dumping chemical and biological weapons. And, we just found out that he made one that can be controlled at an even greater distance. Hey, you know what... I think that could be used as crop dusting. I am sure that he wouldn't design it for carrying out "bad things." Calling the U.S.A. a bunch of bullies is just plain insane or ludicrious. I would imagine the ones saying the derogatory blanket statements about the U.S. are the "political bandwagon boys"... in other words... "the fair-weather fans"... I would hope that by researching the past and present that one would be able to tell what the future has in store. That's usually how it works... He... the incredible "Sadamn" of a man... the "do-gooder..." we'll just wait for him to change his ways. Let's sit here and wait another 12yrs and see if he has completed one of the UN resolutions. Why don't we sit here and wait till another thousand Iraqi citizens get gassed. Why should we meddle in other countries problems if they aren't on our homefront. Why should we even give humanitarian aid to the Iraqi people??? You know, the United States could spend their money in better ways like... well, like giving every Iraqi a tree to plant... and then once it gets bigger, to be able to hug that tree. Why don't we just buy everyone flowers. That would make everyone play nice. I know that if we all hold hands and stand in roadways... that this will be a much better society. :) WHATEVER... ARE YOU ANTI-WAR PROTESTERS ALL SMOKIN' THE WACKY TOBBACCEY??? Be honest now... Listen up, I hope our boys (American, Britian, and the Aussies) come back in as few body bags as possible. I wish the soldiers that help to rid our planet of evil be blessed by the higher powers that be. I hope the Iraqi people see as little death and destruction as need be. I hope others that are pro-war in this situation don't kick back on their couches and let the anti's be heard only. Please show your support. "We will eventually have our peace... if not, you will preemptively be judged." BTW... Abbadon, if you could comprehend what some of the posters were saying... the Sept. 11th deal was a sad time for the US. And, a time in which we have looked back and asked ourselves how this type of thing could have been prevented. Well, we know that Saddam is an evil person and he takes lives whenever he wants. We understand that he has a large financial backing. The USA also knows that he has ties with individuals that in every form of the word "terrorists." We understand that at this time there has not been any linkage between him and bin Laden. MysticHead... that's "neat' that you think this war is about oil. I think it's clever that you think the UN is a bunch of people looking out for the best interests of the people. Did you know that the goverments opposed to the war are the ones that have given research, chemicals, machinery, etc to Saddam to build his weapons of mass destruction? We realized both him and bin Laden were a little on the wacko side and we stopped. But, these other countries, even after the UN told the countries to stop kept right on selling their goods behind the UN's back. Now, it's unfortunate that the cat's out of the bag and these nations will be exposed for the cash they wanted to make on the sales. And, you think the war is for oil alone??? Go ask Germany and France where some of their capital has come from? Ask them if they might have made a mistake by giving the "nutty professor" the tools needed to make weapons of mass destruction. Before you speak next time... research the WHOLE story! Judge

I think the whole world knew that after golfwar in the 90s there would be a re-war. Maybe it would have left a better sight of todays world if there hasn't been so many argues and "theater plays" around this war. For this, we should condamn not only the USA or not only the UN. No, they are still actors in the same film. The normal people go on the streets, condamning war, and judging whether USA or UN or Iraq. Judging without knowing the real facts, cause believe me, the medias are telling us lots of crap but the real facts are often hidden in the background. Judging without knowing is formerly knows as pre-judging. Even now, when bombs are falling we only know that, what the Tv tell us. A small advise : look through a filter, would be better. This event just divided the whole world. Thank you for this. Many different interpretations of this theme come out, everyone is saying something else. And despite what we say, they won't listen, none of "them". And with "them" I mean all those who have something to say. So we have to wait what happens. Hope that not to many people are dying out there. Cause this is something we should also all condamn: None should decide about death or life of someone else. Another hope, I won't say out loud, cause the world is in its entity far too different, so there is no place for such a sentence.

Kill them all so I can have cheap gas, turn them into slaves working the oil fields, I have a suv and deserve cheap gas. If it cost the lives of people I dont know or care about so be it!
Caminante
Sounds ingnorant to me, whenever someone who abviously has NOT, read the Bible and says something that he doesn't fully understand such as 'Thou Shalt Not Kill'. Don't quote scripture if you have never read the Bible with understanding. :-)
Caminante
Well, it looks like the French are gonna have to find a new source of cheap oil soon. Shame of them. :-p

HAHA, good one, number 7 is my fav, i just hope all that all those who oppose to the war, die victims of a terrorist attack. :/
