First of all, this update was taken from Microsoft, and not from a Warez site. It was only unprotected. Second, the version problem is easily solved by running a find-duplicate app over all directories and replace older files by a newer version. By the way, I did that and it WORKS GREAT! Now, who is the retard?!?!
IMHO anyone trying out winXP before anyone else it a fool... you should always wait for some of your mates to install it and for everything to go wrong first to them - it saves alot of time and hassle. how i hate XP - i work as a techinician and i spent the weekend removing XP trials and such from clients machines cos they were dumb enough to think that a big corporation such as M$ would have something fully working etc. in a trial version... hahah.. stupid people. when will stupid people learn that if they don`t even know how to format a floppy in win98 they they shoudl`nt even think of touching XP atm...

I can see you are a hell of a technician! XP is out for more than 1 month and I (and everyone I know) had no problems since then. Fast, stable and any other good adjectives that come to my head. May be your clients are smarter than you.... anyway, they are not in good hands, I'm affraid...
