I guess it's only worth getting if you have experienced any of the problems that were fixed in this build, otherwise there is generally no need. That's my logic anyway! ^__^

I dont know if its just me or there are some big problems with this latest java. I just made a clean install this morning of W2K, applied all the latest drivers and security patches,SP4 etc etc, seen this new version of java and thought it would be a good idea to install it since I did have some trouble with older versions in the past. So far I have had nothing but lockups from it almost everytime I try to install it. (4 times altogether) The one time I did get it to install my machine locked up as soon as I went to a site with java. It even locks when I try to uninstall it. Hell I'm posting this while in safe mode right now, though I would come here to see if anyone else had troubles with it before I try to uninstall it again. Go figure...

Just a thought, could it be a corrupt download? The copy I downloaded installed fine. *shrug*

Works fine for me in: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030628 Mozilla Firebird/0.6 wiggles.

Looks like it was a problem with my browser, went to a different build and now everything is fine.
