I dislike Rambus for different reasons. Agreed they are technologically superior in their ability to give higher bandwidth which is much required for todays hardware. However, I despise the way Rambus has muscled itself into the PC memory market. The way they have tried to extort money out of their competitors is astounding. Even Intel had to drop them to get some distance from them. Due to this I will never buy a Rambus product unless there is no other choice. I know many other people share similar opinions on this and its quite likely the origin of most of the disatisfactory remarks about Rambus. I cant see the competiton to Rambus going away, so it will be an interesting game to watch. I do hope Rambus fails as a company. I can see that unless they have a corruption scandal (or suchlike), they are here for the long run. Sorry to spout so much, I really hate Rambus the company.
