Its not about that (for me anyway), its just that sony was claiming that it would be more than two times as fast as any PC card out there.. Just like they claim their processor is in the super computer class. Which is a joke, shame on sony. Power isnt everything, its how you use it.

PCs will obviously take the lead fairly quickly... however games will be way after what will be availble on consoles for a long long time. Taking a look at how it was for the Xbox and PS2 at the time of their release games just look great. They were optimized for the hardware, running and looking as best the machines could make it. The PC has so many problems with differances in hardware etc. which hinders it from maxing out like the consoles do. Consoles do have that advantage, it's quite an advantage too. That and the price of course. I still prefer PC gaming though for some reason.
