PIO sucks ..... the speed is the same but try to do some thing parallel u will get die infront of your PC while waiting ...

My fix was turning prefetch off and installing George E. Breese's PCI Latency patch, now the nice blue bar doesn't even get to run across the screen once, and I am in windows in no time.
