NVIDIA's Response On Half-Life 2 & Gabe's Statements

El_Coyote
and since when has non whql beta drivers supposed to be valid for benchmarking nvidia?

El_Coyote
ok nvidia got some points in the PR release, but beta drivers are still usless in benchmarking.

So, now all we need is a true PS 1.4 to PS 2.0 image comparision.

El_Coyote
not really. i've always been using whql drivers (and catalysts at that), do no, not really any screaming for beta detonators...

El_Coyote
it hasnt really been a secret that the pixelshaders are broken on the FX lineup, and it hasnt been for a while. something like this was expected, you can just hope that nvidia is speaking the truth about the new drivers this time.

El_Coyote
it doesnt even do 1.4 well (ati designed ps1.4 remember) lets hope for fx users that HL allows them to fall back to 1.3 shaders

El_Coyote
so im a fanboy because i dont use detonators for my radeon? heh i have to say that was just rediculous, but it was not the point it was catalysts, but rather the point that i never use beta drivers.
