Hmm what's going on with nVidia last 18 months? ...

Hrmm I use those 2.41 and just did a clean format with them. I dont use the IDE drivers and never have because I heard they were buggy from the start but it seems the sound has actually improved since the 1.16 and 2.03s .. I didnt dare touch those 2.42 because I heard of at least 5 ppl it crashed there machine so bad they could only format.. no recovery.

2.42 are/have been the 2.41 without IDE drivers so these problems your 5 friends had might have happen to you too

I have been running the 2.41's since they came out with the SW IDE and have yet to have a problem. I can still burn cd's at 52x, I can still play games and so on. It seems I am uber lucky or just haven't hit the right combo to kill it.

Man, what a truly suck-ass weekend to be nVidia!!! :lol:
