Wow a single card gets 6800, yet two of them together only get 7229? I know the systems are probably different, but 3dmark mainly benchmarks the graphics card. Kinda pathetic, 6% increase, for double the price.

If you overclock them then you would get twice the speed increase, which would be "unfair". Who cares though. But the fact that a single card gets a higher score than two together shows how crappy the integration of this technology is. Why not just throw some insane memory, and only the best GPU's on a card, and charge 25% more. sli costs over 100% more than a single card, its just stupid.

lol, and along with 3dmark05, comes the "my video card penis is bigger than yours" posts. i ran just the demo on my 9600 non pro 128...lol4-5fps max... but, it was a cool looking slideshow:)

Oh and btw, you might consider that SLI is not officially released yet, nor are there any good and optimized boards for it, nor mature drivers. If you simply take away the 4.11b advantage, the x800 craps out completely. People like you will never have the money to buy 2 cards anyway, so stfu and keep the envy to yourself.

Dude, get it straight, they are 3dmark05 optimized drivers. up to 1500 more points. DUH! plus this card is extremely overlocked. DUH! Now look at the nvidia cards, they are stock and have no optimized drivers for 3dmark05. you call that fair? ok well I guess you little FANATIcs needed some ego boost after the doom3 blamage, but this isnt a real comparison. Im sorry to blow away the dream. And Im sure flamed for that. :P

Oh btw, only a complete fool would buy such 2 cards? Cool, so if I have enough money to waste it on such a rig I am very glad to be the greatest fool ever. :)

Weel, you have to agree that it's still a nice score for 2 cards on a board that's not optimized like the Nforce4 will be and without 3Dmark05 optimized drivers like the 4.11 cats. But compare the NV SLI cards to a single 800XT in real games and it would be completely different, it would be like comparing a high-end card with a mid-end budget card...(also in price ofcourse :) )

IIRC ATI were the first who did something like that. Remember quark3.exe? I may be wrong.
